The church of the agia solomoni catacombs is located in Kato Paphos and can be found alongside the main road on Apostolos Pavlos avenue. The area is a world heritage site and it is not that obvious that one of the catacombs exists and it is easy to walk past it.

This is the sign that signifies the start of the NEA PAFOS. The sign can be seen on Apostolos Pavlos avenue. The entrance to the first catacomb is probably 50 metres from the sign on the left and is marked by a line of pebbles on the floor. |

You can walk through the catacombs and there is currently no fee to enter as it is just a doorway cut into the rocks. |

Steps lead up from inside the caves to the top of the catacombs, where you can find other chambers. |

Some of the caves are fairly big and it is easy to imagine them being used thousands of years ago. |

A little further down Apostolos Pavlos avenue you will see this sign. This catacomb is much smaller than the other catacomb. The catacomb is directly alongside of the sign, just look out for the tree in the pictures below. |

The tree above the agios solomoni catacomb has items of clothing tied to it. Many people believe that the tree has magical curing powers and so they tie an article of clothing to the tree. |
