Agia Solomoni Catacombs

The church of the agia solomoni catacombs is located in Kato Paphos and can be found alongside the main road on Apostolos Pavlos avenue. The area is a world heritage site and it is not that obvious that one of the catacombs exists and it is easy to walk past it.

world heritage site sign This is the sign that signifies the start of the NEA PAFOS. The sign can be seen on Apostolos Pavlos avenue. The entrance to the first catacomb is probably 50 metres from the sign on the left and is marked by a line of pebbles on the floor.

catacomb You can walk through the catacombs and there is currently no fee to enter as it is just a doorway cut into the rocks.

catacombs steps Steps lead up from inside the caves to the top of the catacombs, where you can find other chambers.

cave catacomb Some of the caves are fairly big and it is easy to imagine them being used thousands of years ago.
